Portfolio insights – Investors shouldn’t fear the return of the traditional cycle

While downturns can be painful in the short-term there can be no corresponding upturn without them and so investors should instead focus on the longer term, where future returns are becoming more attractive as prices continue to fall. While we still expect more short-term volatility and pain ahead, our long term forecasts are much more favourable than our short term forecasts.
